Fun at the zoo

We decided to check out the local zoo.
We had lots of fun, but it was HOT!

Look at this sweet baby.  Worn out from all the petting.

The giraffe actually is a baby.  It is only about 5 months old.
Aren't you glad you don't have to go through this much effort just for a drink of water!

Watch out! They spit!

Don't you love the colors!

Hey, Jonathan, Say Cheese!

Who knew meercats could look so vicious!
(As you can see, I am enjoying my new camera. Thanks, Babe.)

We are sure to make another trip to the zoo, but I think we will wait for the weather to cool off.

Have a great day, and God bless!

Pops in the Park

Soon after we moved here, we were able to enjoy "Pops in the Park."  We had a picnic dinner, played some Uno, and then sat back and listened to the symphony.  This years theme was "Arabian Nights."  The girls really had fun.  They especially liked it when the opening song from "Aladin" was played and their daddy sang every word of it.  G and O and I were trying our best to laugh quietly, but it was hard.  After the concert there were fireworks.  O made it through without screaming and crying this time.  It was better that they were across the lake and we weren't having to dive for cover like last time.  We hope to make this an annual tradition.

Have a great day and God bless.

Favorite Pastime

The girls have a new favorite pastime... bike riding. Nearly every day they get out and ride their bikes around the driveway. That may not sound like much fun, but you have to understand how long our driveway is. From the road, all the way around to the garage it is close to a 1/4 mile long. It is wonderful to not have to worry about traffic other than Sasha and Sophie.
