Watermelon on the Porch

O. had this idea she read in a book. She told me about a boy and his grandfather that worked hard on the farm all day and then sat on the front porch, eating a watermelon, and watching the sunset. We had the farm part covered (sort of); we figured unloading boxes counted as hard work; we bought the watermelon. Now all we needed was the sunset. Wow did we find one!

(Don't you just love the wagon!)

(G. enjoying her yellow watermelon.)

As you can see we had lots of fun. J and O went to the farmer's market together and picked out this cool watermelon. It was very different cutting into it and seeing that it was yellow. It tastes just the same. Hope you all get a chance to stop and watch a sunset soon too.

And by the way, today is my wonderful husband's birthday. Happy Birthday to you! Love you always. And we all want to wish a Happy Birthday to Lindz too!

Have a great day! God Bless!
K
